38.75 hours per week | Utrecht | Hybrid | Energy Transition, Climate-resilient living environment, Sustainable mobility | € 3,170 | WO

Your progress begins at Berenschot

Do you want to contribute to the energy transition, sustainable mobility, or a climate-resilient and healthy living environment? As a Junior Sustainability and Energy Advisor at Berenschot, you will work directly on issues such as grid congestion, climate adaptation, and sustainable mobility. In our Climate Talent program, you will develop into an independent advisor over three years, while working at leading (semi)public organizations. You will quickly build substantive knowledge and a broad network and develop yourself in practice.

On the page 'Working at Klimaattalent you will find more information about the development program, the current climate talents, and the assignments we do.

This is what you will do

Are you enthusiastic, ambitious, and do you love to roll up your sleeves? In the 3-year Climate Talent program at Berenschot, you will develop as a starter and contribute directly to a more sustainable Netherlands. At municipalities, provinces, ministries, grid operators, and water boards, for example, you will work on a future-proof energy system, sustainable mobility, or climate adaptation. As a Climate Talent, you work for and at client organizations. Over three years, you will complete an average of three to five different assignments at different organizations. You will work four days a week at a client and follow the development program on Fridays. This way, you get to know organizations from the inside, build your own knowledge and network, and make an impact in practice.

Additionally, you will go through a broad development program together in which the focus lies on developing personal leadership, project and process skills, and substantive knowledge of various sustainability issues. You will also contribute to the further development of Climate Talent, and there is plenty of room to get to know each other as a team and undertake fun activities together.

Quote

"I work with great enthusiasm as a Climate Talent due to the variety between the assignments and all the experience you gain in a short time. Working for multiple clients means you get to know the playing field from different angles and can thus create truly supported solutions." - Barris Steenhorst, Climate Talent

These are your direct colleagues

You will work in our Climate Talent team, a group of enthusiastic young professionals with different backgrounds and a broad professional affinity for sustainability. One may have more knowledge of the energy transition, another of sustainable mobility or a climate-resilient and healthy living environment. It is precisely those different perspectives that make the team strong. The atmosphere is open, informal, and collegial, with room for personal development and individual initiative.

You will also work closely with colleagues at your client organizations. You will dive into substantive issues, work on concrete solutions, and meanwhile build a broad network. This way, you learn not only a lot about sustainability, but also how policy, organizations, and implementation come together in practice.

What you bring

As a Climate Talent, you have various interests and want to work on one of the following transition issues: energy transition, climate-resilient living environment, or sustainable mobility. You also have an affinity with the (semi)public sector and find it interesting to perform assignments across different levels of government and organizations. We are looking for Climate Talents who recognize themselves in the profile description below:

  • You have 0-3 years of work experience. It is an advantage if you bring some internship or work experience
