What you'll do
Research how the soil influences electrical currents.
Develop a multi-layer soil model for the Dutch subsurface.
Compare different soil models and analyze the results.
Translate your insights into more accurate calculations for safe infrastructure.
This is what you will do at Movares
During this graduation assignment, you will research how the properties of the Dutch soil influence the distribution of electrical currents. You will combine literature research with available measurement data and develop a multi-layer soil model. After that, you will test the results and research how this model improves the accuracy of calculations. In this way, you contribute directly to a safe and reliable energy supply in the Netherlands.

For you as a graduation intern, there is a position in our Energy department within the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) team.
You will join a dedicated team that conducts research into the influence of electricity grids on the environment. Together, you will analyze how electrical currents behave and develop solutions that contribute to a safe and reliable energy supply. The atmosphere is open and collegial. You will work together with junior, medior, and senior colleagues who enjoy sharing their knowledge and helping you to further develop yourself.
