Financial Advisor Government

• HBO diploma and working and thinking level

• Knowledge of government finances (BBV)

• Experience with budgets, annual accounts, and administrative reports

• Fluent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written

• A critical eye to contribute to process improvement, both requested and unsolicited

• Communication skills, flexibility, and a service-oriented attitude

• Minimum demonstrable work experience of 3 years in the same role at a municipality

• In possession of a B driver's license

You will be the financial sparring partner for the line management of the Dutch government. You can work as a Financial Advisor Government at XCENT (part of Centric). Also central is providing financial advice and insights to stakeholders by analyzing financial data. Make these opportunities your work.

You are responsible for preparing financial reports and for advising, supporting, and guiding the government on financial issues. Additionally, you participate in projects of government departments where financial interests are involved. How do you do this? By effectively applying your knowledge and experience for our clients.

• Conducting budget discussions

• Preparing spring and autumn notes

• Proactively identifying risks, improvements, and/or bottlenecks

• Advising on the financial consequences of policy choices

• Preparing and monitoring planning & control products

As a Financial Advisor, you will be employed by XCENT, part of Centric, and will be deployed to one or more clients. The diversity in work locations will introduce you to many organizations. This allows you to continue developing within your field. Together with your Field Manager, you will draw up a development plan, and together you will determine which courses, training, and assignments suit your development wishes. Finally, you will become part of the Finance professional group, in which knowledge sharing and mutual coaching with colleagues are central.
