With your ecological knowledge and passion for nature, you contribute to the protection and creation of nature.

• In urban but especially also in non-urban areas and along the extensive railway network in the Netherlands, you deal with ecological issues.

• You are active in the field, advise clients, and protect flora and fauna.

• You focus on projects related to (rare) protected species such as the sand lizard, natterjack toad, fire salamander, badger, and beaver.

• You are a fountain of knowledge for juniors and support them. For example, with quick scans on projects for housing corporations, track renewal of the railway near Delft, or guidance during major maintenance/renovation of bridges in The Hague.

As an ecology advisor at Movares, you enjoy working on many projects, varying in scale and complexity. In doing so, you always take an extra step to preserve, protect, and create nature. You do this by looking at what additional value can still be created per project, such as fauna passages, wadis, or green facades. In this position, you combine indoor and outdoor work. For instance, you are in the field for 'ecology quick scans' and species-specific research. The work is very varied. You will also work partly in the evening/night. Naturally, you understand that the integrated projects of Movares and its clients generate a varied range of work. The writing of reports and ecological assessments, e.g., for a nitrogen dossier, is therefore also entrusted to you.

Advisors at Movares are goal-oriented, assertive, and consider sustainability important. Contributing to a better world is something you do not only from your field of expertise but with the entire organization. With your passion for and knowledge of nature and its protection, you contribute from a substantive perspective to complex and innovative projects and processes. You are someone who, in every project, always sees opportunities to create extra value for nature alongside the legal obligation, and you strive to incorporate this in every project: we find that very important at Movares! As an advisor, you work closely with clients. You participate in meetings, think along, and coordinate what the right course is, which you determine together. Passing on knowledge to and (on the way) helping junior colleagues and interns suits you well; this gives you energy!

You also bring:

• a HBO / WO degree in the field of (applied) biology, forest and nature management, or ecology;

• at least five years of experience as an ecological advisor;

• excellent knowledge of nature legislation and nature policy.
