The role

The position
To strengthen our team at Special Doors, we are looking for a flexible and motivated Production Worker. In this position, you will work entirely at our production location in Gorinchem and make an important contribution to the production process of high-quality doors, frames, and facade systems.

Your activities are varied and practical in nature. You will work with various materials, such as steel and insulating components. Because our products are custom-made, accuracy and attention to detail are essential to meet the high quality standards for which Merford is known.

Depending on where you are deployed, your tasks may include:

What you'll do

Reading specifications and drawings of, among other things, doors, frames, and panels.
Collecting and preparing the necessary materials.
Sawing plaster and sound insulation
Assembling and gluing door and frame components
Tack welding frames or grilles: welding experience for this position is a plus
Finishing or sanding tack welds
Rubberizing doors and potentially providing expanding foam tape
Equipping doors with locks, hardware, glass, grilles, etc. (final assembly)
Checking dimensions and quality
Taking action when deviations are observed
Packaging and preparing end products for shipment
Ensuring a neat and safe workplace
