(junior) Project Leader

The role
As a (junior) project leader at Merford Special Doors, you will have a varied role in which you can make a substantial contribution to concrete results. You will receive interesting and challenging projects from the Sales department. These can include special soundproof, security, fire, or bulletproof doors and frames. Together with Work Preparation, which creates a clear design for the customer, the details for production and assembly are further elaborated.

In the role of (junior) Project Leader, under the supervision of the project coordinator, you will be ultimately responsible for ensuring the smooth running of complete projects from design to delivery. In this, quality, speed, and accuracy go hand in hand. Additionally, in close consultation with the Operations Manager, you will maintain oversight of the (financial) project schedules and act as the link to the external and internal parties involved in the realization of the project.

Upon employment, you will receive an extensive induction program. This also includes the opportunity to accompany assembly jobs or help with assembly, so that you can get to know the products and solutions well.

The team
As a (junior) project leader, you will be part of the project team that works in pairs with the Sales Account Managers, where the composition varies depending on the project. The project team consists of multiple project leaders. You keep each other informed and you can learn from one another. In daily operations, one of the project leaders acts as the coordinator. The Operations Manager is your supervisor and your coach and sounding board for complex issues and guidance in your personal development.

We are looking for
You are a person with a well-developed antenna for solutions to complex issues. You see where the friction points are and know how to anticipate them. You oversee the whole picture, with an eye for detail. You enjoy working with people, are stress-resistant, and have a positive attitude. You know how to distinguish between main and secondary matters well.

We find it important that you possess:

• At least a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in a technical direction, preferably Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. HBO work and thinking level obtained through demonstrable technical (project) experience is also an interesting selection criterion for us;

• Three to five years of relevant work experience as an Engineer, Work Preparer, or Project Leader in a technical and project-based role within construction, industry, or installation technology.

• A good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;

• A structured and analytical way of working;

• A positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile when the work requires it.
