IT / Application Management Internship (HBO) starting in 2027

Depending on your studies, interests, and learning goals, you will get the opportunity to gain experience within our IT department with Application Management, process optimization, data management, and supporting IT projects. During your internship, you will become acquainted with the various business applications and the diverse business processes within Merford.

Application Management and the development of business-critical software are carried out by our internal IT department. Other technical management is outsourced to an external IT partner and falls outside the scope of the internship.

Depending on your studies, interests, and learning goals, you will get the opportunity to gain experience with Application Management, process optimization, data management, and supporting IT projects.

During your internship, you will work with various business applications, including Exact Globe, Exact Synergy, and Microsoft SQL Server.

As an intern, you will work within the IT department, with an emphasis on Application Management. During your internship, you will support the IT manager and IT project managers with operational and project-based activities. You will do this by performing specific tasks and/or an internship assignment that is determined in advance, in consultation with you.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn student focused on IT and with an interest in Application Management.

The following characteristics suit you:

• You have a relevant HBO degree in the field of IT; 

• Your internship lasts at least three months and preferably longer;

• You have some knowledge of Exact Software and the execution of SQL queries;

• You are independent, have an analytical mindset, and enjoy researching things;

• You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages.

• You would like to work on your own development and you are open to feedback.

• You live within an acceptable commuting distance to Gorinchem.

•  You have a structured and accurate way of working, and are interested in data, systems, and process improvement.

• You have a proactive and positive attitude, with an eye for detail and quality.

• You enjoy thinking along about improvements and work processes.
