The role
KPMG People & Transformation is an ambitious and fast-growing team within KPMG, both globally and in the Netherlands. Consultants at People & Transformation are experts in behavioral change in organizations. In this way, we help organizations realize their ambitions and achieve sustainable change. Our focus is on the human element in organizational changes.
We are engaged daily in guiding organizations in development. From realizing digital transformations and large system implementations, to, for example, guiding mergers and demergers. We adapt our services to current trends and major societal themes. This is also why we focus on AI, ESG, and Cyber Awareness. We serve both large and small, national and international clients in all possible sectors.
As a KPMG People & Transformation intern, you are part of our driven, energetic, and social team that supports organizations in successfully realizing transformations. You contribute to the design and execution of innovative solutions and interventions for clients. This can range from supporting the implementation of the change plan to developing products that are immediately applicable to our clients' transformation challenges. Everything is aimed at making a difference.
What often begins as an organizational change that sounds so logical on paper, often proves to be much more stubborn in practice. That is exactly what makes organizational changes so interesting. As an intern, you will work on our assignments from day one. You are a full member of the project team and participate in various assignments. In this way, you will get to know the profession, the market, the team, and KPMG well.
Within People & Transformation, you work in one integrated team, containing four Communities of Practice: Organizational Change Management, Technology Change Management, Transformation Enablement, and Culture & Strategy Alignment. These communities offer space for deepening expertise, knowledge sharing, and professional development. What connects us is a solid foundation in project and program management and knowledge of (behavioral) change to help clients move forward. We take an integral approach to transformations: from strategy and technology to behavior and culture.
The team is characterized by energy, craftsmanship, and a strong focus on collective impact. We believe in the power of the team and look consciously at everyone's qualities and ambitions, so that you can make an impact in a way that suits you. You work hybrid: at the client, at our office in Amstelveen, and from home. Our team is growing, and your development grows with us.

What you'll do
- You will help in the structured guidance of (large-scale) change processes by designing and executing an effective approach and creative interventions in collaboration with the client.
- You will work with experienced colleagues on (digital) transformation programs in multidisciplinary teams across various sectors.
- You will help implement changes by developing innovative stakeholder management, communication, and training materials (both digital and physical).
- During your internship, you will primarily work on client projects and, in addition, contribute to internal initiatives within People & Transformation, such as knowledge development or team activities. Together with your supervisors, you will learn to set priorities in a dynamic project environment.
- Additionally, you will support the team in writing articles, preparing team days, or supporting our podcast.

"At People & Transformation, I felt like part of the team from day one. The team is warm, involved, and colleagues are always open to brainstorming together. Whether it was internal KPMG work or external client work, I was allowed to join in everywhere and actively contribute ideas regarding challenges. For four months, I worked intensively with experienced colleagues, through which I learned a lot about the human side of change and organizational issues. That trust and openness within the team made this internship incredibly valuable to me." - Vivian Reijntjes, Former People & Transformation Intern
