The role

Strategy Execution & Implementation (SE&I) at ABN AMRO Bank is the expertise center for change within the bank. Our consultants work on strategic and complex change assignments that contribute to realizing the bank's strategy. Think of digitalization, the integration of new acquisitions, and the implementation of new laws and regulations. The Change Excellence team within SE&I is looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn HBO or WO student for a working internship within People & Process Development (P&PD). Within P&PD, we focus specifically on the development of our consultants, further professionalizing our way of working, and strengthening knowledge sharing and capability building throughout all of SE&I. Our activities focus, among other things, on learning paths, training, onboarding, the Skill Matrix, knowledge management, and the further development of consultancy skills within ABN AMRO.

Are you interested in Learning & Development, organizational development, change management, or process improvement? Do you want to gain experience in an environment where learning, changing, and professionalizing are central? Then we are looking for you.

What you'll do

As an intern, you will participate within the P&PD team and support various activities surrounding learning, development, and capability building. Your duties consist of a combination of operational, organizational, and possibly also analytical or substantive assignments.

Examples of activities are:

  • Supporting the administration and coordination of training and learning activities;
  • Processing registrations, participant lists, and evaluations;
  • Supporting communication towards participants, trainers, and managers;
  • Preparing reports and dashboards regarding participation and training results;
  • Organizing and supporting Learning Days, training, or other development initiatives;
  • Collecting, structuring, and analyzing data about learning and development;
  • Supporting the improvement and digitalization of learning processes;
  • Thinking along about the use of AI and digital solutions within learning and development;
  • Conducting research into learning needs, knowledge sharing, or the effectiveness of learning interventions;
  • Contributing to initiatives such as the Skill Matrix, learning paths, the SE&I Library, or other capability-building activities.

Depending on your interests and the current priorities within the team, there will be room for an individual research assignment or in-depth study of one of the above themes.

Who are you?

Are you curious, analytical, and energized by learning, developing, and improving? Do you work in a structured manner and like to take initiative? Then you fit well within our team.

  • You are following an HBO or WO degree, for example in the direction of Organizational Sciences, Psychology, Educational Sciences, Human Resource Management, Change Management, Business Administration, or a similar study;
  • You have an affinity with Learning & Development, organizational development, or change management;
  • You work in a structured and planned manner;
  • You are analytically strong and enjoy working with data;
  • You are communicatively skilled in both Dutch and English;
  • You can work independently, but also actively seek out collaboration;
  • You are curious about digital innovation and AI applications;
  • You are looking for an internship starting from February 2027 for at least 20 weeks;
  • You are available at least 4 days per week.

We offer

We offer you a varied internship within a team that focuses on the development of people, knowledge, and skills within SE&I. Thanks to our onboarding program, you will quickly feel at home as a new intern and part of the team. There is plenty of room to learn, develop yourself, and gain experience within a large financial organization. Additionally, you can count on excellent guidance from your internship supervisor, experienced consultants, and change professionals.

During your internship, it is not only about gaining substantive knowledge and practical experience. You will also actively work on your professional development and the expansion of your network. CASt, the Club ABN AMRO Interns, organizes both substantive and social (online) events. Additionally, CASt organizes monthly Go & See's, where you get to know different departments within ABN AMRO and learn even more about the bank. Through the ABN AMRO Academy, you also get the opportunity to further develop your hard skills with challenging e-learnings.

In addition, we offer:

  • The opportunity to gain experience within Learning & Development, capability building, and organizational development;
  • Plenty of room to learn, develop yourself, and build a relevant network;
  • The chance to work on initiatives that contribute to the development of consultants and the change power of the bank.

The internship allowance for an MBO, HBO, or WO internship is €750 per month based on a 36-hour work week.
