The role
The audit world is changing faster than ever. Artificial Intelligence, automation, and data analytics ensure that controls become increasingly smart, efficient, and insight-driven. As a result, the role of the auditor is shifting from performing routine tasks to interpreting insights, assessing risks, and applying professional judgment.
As an Audit Associate, you will work on diverse assignments for national and international clients from day one. You will get to know organizations from the inside, analyze financial processes, and investigate which risks may impact the reliability of financial reporting.
In doing so, you will make use of modern technologies and AI-supported audit tools. You will learn how to utilize data to identify patterns and deviations, while simultaneously maintaining a critical mindset regarding the outcomes. Technology helps you reach insights faster, but your professional judgment ultimately makes the difference.
Within the Northeast region, you will work in a personal and informal environment where collaboration is central. You will receive responsibility early on, be in direct contact with clients, and can always rely on experienced colleagues for coaching and guidance.
"Within the Northeast region, I can go to anyone with questions, from a direct colleague to a partner on my assignment. That open atmosphere ensures that I learn a lot every day and get plenty of room to develop myself." – Coen Smid, Associate Audit
Additionally, we invest heavily in your development. Through training, practical experience, on-the-job guidance, and the RA track, you will develop yourself into a future-proof professional ready for the next generation of audit.
What you'll do
- Thorough understanding of business processes, risks, and internal control measures across diverse organizations.
- Performing audit procedures and preparing clear, high-quality audit documentation.
- Applying AI, data analytics, and audit tools to identify risks, deviations, and trends.
- Conducting interviews with clients and translating findings into well-founded conclusions.
- Critically assessing financial and non-financial information and professionally challenging assumptions and outcomes.
- Analyzing complex issues and effectively brainstorming about them with colleagues, managers, and clients.
- Actively contributing to the further innovation and digitalization of audit practice.
- Developing knowledge in the fields of audit, reporting, technology, and relevant laws and regulations.
