As a Purchaser, you will have a broad and independent role in which you will work together with colleagues throughout the entire organization on the further professionalization of the procurement function. You will guide procurement processes, advise stakeholders, conduct negotiations, and identify opportunities to make processes smarter, more efficient, and future-proof.

You are the owner of the procurement process and ensure that suppliers, contracts, and processes align optimally with the needs of the organization.

Thanks to your sharp analyses, commercial insight, and negotiation skills, you create sustainable value, manage risks, and contribute to the further professionalization of the organization. Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and monitoring organization-wide procurement policy;
• Guiding procurement processes, issuing RfIs and RfPs, and conducting contract negotiations;
• Supplier and contract management, including performance and risk management;
• Analyzing expenditures, market developments, and savings opportunities;
• Advising management and stakeholders on strategic procurement issues. You follow developments within the market, laws, and regulations, and translate these into opportunities for the organization.
• Guiding and supporting colleagues within operations in the execution of contract management for their suppliers.

You are an entrepreneurial and decisive purchaser who switches easily between strategy and execution.

You feel at home in an independent role, know how to bring people along with your advice, and are a strong

interlocutor for both internal stakeholders and our suppliers. You are naturally curious, build relationships easily, and know how to bring different interests together. You do not wait around, but take initiative and get energy from realizing improvements. Additionally, you bring the following:

• You possess HBO+ or WO (higher professional or university) level of working and thinking;
• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a tactical or strategic procurement function;
• You have experience with contract negotiations, supplier management, and guiding complex procurement processes;
• You have experience with developing and implementing procurement policy and process improvements;
• You possess a commercial mindset combined with strong advisory and influencing skills;
• You see opportunities for improvement and take initiative to realize them;
• You are analytically strong and dare to give both requested and unsolicited advice;
• You work independently, take ownership, and know how to set priorities in a dynamic environment;
• A completed procurement training, such as NEVI 1 and/or NEVI 2, is a plus.
