Manager Planning & Capacity Schiphol

You have demonstrable experience in managing and professionalizing planning and capacity within a large and complex operational organization.

You are analytically strong, decisive, and organizationally sensitive. You move easily between strategy and operations and are accustomed to advising at senior management and board levels. Even when interests diverge, you remain a strong and convincing interlocutor.

In addition, you have:

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) working and thinking level, for example in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Workforce Management;
• At least 5 years of relevant leadership experience at a senior level within a complex and large-scale operational environment;
• Extensive and demonstrable experience with Workforce Management, capacity management, personnel planning, and forecasting;
• Demonstrable experience with the professionalization or transformation of a planning and/or capacity organization;
• Experience with complex change processes and process optimization;
• Extensive experience with KPI management, SLA management, and data-driven decision-making;
• Experience with senior stakeholder management and advising management and the board;
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding personnel planning;
• Experience with WFM and planning systems. Experience with Rostar CAS is a plus.

Experience within aviation or another complex 24/7 environment is a strong plus. Experience with aviation security, preferably within the Schiphol environment, carries extra weight for us.

You will receive a senior management position within one of the most complex security operations in the Netherlands. A position with great responsibility, direct influence on the operation, and the space to further shape the planning and capacity organization.

As Manager Planning & Capacity at Securitas at Schiphol, you hold ultimate responsibility for the planning, capacity, and personnel deployment within this large-scale operation.

But your mission goes beyond ensuring the planning is correct. The department is undergoing significant development and is being further professionalized. We are therefore looking for an experienced manager who provides direction, improves processes, and takes Workforce Management to a higher level.

As Manager Planning & Capacity, you lead the Team Leads and WFM specialist and are ultimately responsible for a planning and capacity organization of approximately 20 to 30 employees. You report directly to the Director of Securitas Schiphol Security and are part of the MT.

You connect strategy with daily operations and serve as a strong interlocutor for management, Operations, and other internal stakeholders, as well as our client, Schiphol. You understand the dynamics of a large 24/7 operation and know how to translate complex capacity issues into clear choices and structural improvements.

You are responsible for, among other things:

• developing and implementing the strategy regarding Workforce Management, forecasting, personnel planning, and capacity management;
• achieving optimal personnel deployment for approximately 1,400 security employees;
• managing, coaching, and further developing the planning and capacity organization;
• steering based on KPIs and SLAs regarding, among other things, delivery reliability, productivity, roster quality, occupancy, and costs;
• analyzing forecasts, dashboards, and performance and translating these into concrete decision-making and improvement measures;
• professionalizing planning processes, systems, and WFM methodologies;
• developing scenarios for peak periods, disruptions, leave, absenteeism, and changing capacity needs;
• strengthening the collaboration between Planning, Operations, HR, Quality & Compliance, and Data & Analysis;
• advising management and the board on business-critical issues regarding planning, capacity, and performance.

In doing so, you ensure that personnel planning complies with the applicable collective labor agreement (CAO), Working Hours Act, client agreements, and internal guidelines.

At the same time, we are further developing and professionalizing our planning and capacity organization. Processes are being sharpened, responsibilities are being restructured, and data-driven working is playing an increasingly important role.

You bring structure, direction, and seniority to this. You quickly identify where bottlenecks arise, dare to challenge existing ways of working, and ensure that changes are not only conceived but also actually realized and secured.
