Manager Pensions (consulting)

In this role, you will engage in diverse activities and a great variety of assignments and projects. In doing so, you will work together with different disciplines and ensure good connection and collaboration between all parties involved. The Future Pensions Act brings unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Pension funds, administrators, insurers, and PPIs face issues surrounding:

• strategic repositioning

• digitization and operational excellence

• redesign of customer service and communication

• integration of data & AI in decision-making

• remaining compliant and in control in a rapidly changing landscape

Banks and asset managers also see opportunities to position themselves as individual pension navigators. Therefore, there are also product & distribution strategy, data, and digitization issues here.

IG&H plays a leading role in all these issues. As Manager Pension Consulting you will help determine the course of our clients and the sector.

• Strategy & Thought Leadership

• Developing customer strategies, propositions, and transformation roadmaps.

• Translating complex analyses into powerful narratives and executive advice.

• Contributing deep sector and subject matter expertise in client dialogues and decision-making processes.

• Contributing to thought leadership in the field of Wtp, digitization, and data-driven pension administration.

• Project & Stakeholder Management

• Leading multidisciplinary projects (strategy, tech, data, digital, operations).

• Managing expectations with C-level stakeholders; creating trust and strategic alignment.

• Monitoring content, planning, people, and budget according to IG&H's MSW methodology (Make Strategy Work).

• Business Development & Relationship Management

• Actively contributing to pitches, propositions, and client presentations.

• Co-creating propositions such as Wtp transitions, digital customer service, value chain optimization, E2E transformations, process optimizations/STP, and AI usage.

• Spotting commercial opportunities with existing and new clients.

• Building and maintaining sustainable client relationships.

• Coaching & Team Development

• Acting as a mentor for consultants.

• Stimulating professional and personal growth through feedback, coaching, and exemplary behavior.

• Contributing to the further development of the Pension Consulting team.

Experience & Expertise 

• 6 years of relevant experience in the pension sector and/or consultancy. 

• Knowledge of and vision on digitization, proposition development, pension administration, process optimization, STP/process automation, and AI usage in the value chain. 

• Experience with stakeholder management at a senior level. 

• Experience guiding transformations in complex organizations or leading complex (multidisciplinary) projects. 

• Sharp understanding of the pension landscape and the dynamics between funds, administrators, regulators, and commercial parties. 

Education & skills 

• A completed academic degree. 

• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written. 

• Strong analytical skills: data-driven decision-making, logical reasoning, facts over assumptions. 

• Skilled in creating high-quality deliverables, such as decks, financial models, analyses, reports, and whitepapers. 

• Strong organization and time management skills: you work autonomously, structure your own schedule, and deliver under pressure. 

• Ability to adapt style and communication level to different target groups: from operational to C-suite.
