• At least 10 years of relevant experience as a Claims Handler or Non-Life Claims Handler within non-life insurance.

• In-depth knowledge of claims processes and the daily practice of claims handling.

As a Senior Business Analyst Claims, you will combine your substantive expertise with the power of strategy, technology, data, and AI. You will work together with insurers, product owners, consultants, and software developers on solutions that truly improve the claims field.

You do not need to be a traditional IT professional or business analyst. It is precisely your practical experience that makes the difference. You know what happens on the work floor, where processes get stuck, and which solutions work in practice—and especially which ones do not.

The Dutch insurance market is in full motion. Insurers face the challenge of designing claims processes that are more efficient, more customer-centric, and more future-proof. Digitalization, data, and AI offer great opportunities in this regard, but only if technology aligns with the daily practice of claims handling.

In practice, this involves issues such as:

• optimization of the claims process from first notification to settlement;

• digitalization and automation of claims handling;

• improving customer service and employee experience;

• application of data and AI in claims processes;

• STP and automated handling where possible;

• design of future-proof processes and systems;

• smarter support of claims handlers with complex files.

In this role, you will work on diverse assignments at insurers and operate at the intersection of business, processes, and IT. You will use your experience from claims practice to understand complex issues and translate them into concrete solutions.

• Analyzing and improving claims processes, from first claim notification to settlement.

• Identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.

• Translating practical experience and customer needs into concrete requirements and solutions.

• Thinking along about the design of future-proof claims processes.

• Contributing to the further development of the Symbria platform.

• Facilitating workshops and working sessions at insurers.

• Gathering and structuring wishes and needs from various stakeholders.

• Acting as a link between claims handlers, managers, product owners, consultants, and software developers.

• Making complex content understandable for different target groups.

• Creating support for new processes, ways of working, and technological solutions.

• Investigating how technology can make the claims process smarter and more efficient.

• Thinking along about applications of AI and automation within claims handling.

• Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.

• Collaborating with product and development teams to shape solutions based on practice.

• Contributing to the further digitalization of the non-life insurance chain.

• Contributing your subject matter expertise to client issues and propositions.

• Developing a vision on the future of claims handling.

• Contributing to thought leadership within the claims field.

• A completed HBO or WO degree.

• Strong analytical and communicative skills.

• You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
