A bridge must move when shipping passes and close safely for road traffic. A storm surge barrier must work precisely at the moment the Netherlands relies on it. As a technical manager at Hollandia Services, you determine how we technically prepare, renovate, test, and deliver such objects.

You are responsible for the technical content and execution quality of your project. From design through to delivery, you maintain control over technology, planning, safety, and quality. You discuss choices with the client and translate requirements into workable solutions for design, fabrication, and execution.

You are regularly in the office, in our factory, and at the project location. There, you see immediately whether a plan actually works in the field.

• You manage design, engineering, work preparation, and execution from a technical perspective

• You monitor the planning, quality, safety, and feasibility of the project

• You organize fabrication, quality controls, and FAT, SAT, and SIT

• You technically manage suppliers and subcontractors and monitor their progress

• You ensure complete handover dossiers and a controlled transfer to the client

You make decisions on content and can explain why a choice is technically correct. You maintain an overview when multiple disciplines are working on the same object simultaneously.

You give specialists space, but intervene when planning, safety, or quality demands it. You also make clear agreements with clients and subcontractors. You do not pass on technical problems. You organize the people and information that are needed. Furthermore, we expect from you:

You work with people who each master their own technical trade. The scale of the projects is large, but the lines within the project team are short.

You are given space to steer technical choices and are visible from design to delivery. You work from Capelle aan den IJssel and regularly visit our shipyard and project locations.
