JYSK is a fast-growing international retail organization with more than 3,000 stores in 50 countries. To support this growth logistically, we are currently building our 10th distribution center in Lelystad. Construction is in full swing and we expect the distribution center to be operational in early 2027. This does not, of course, mean that we are sitting idle until then. From our temporary distribution center, we are already working hard on a smooth transition to the new location.

As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for the optimal functioning of the automated High Bay warehouse within our Distribution Center. You will work closely with the Technical Service department, other departments within the DC, and colleagues from other JYSK distribution centers. As a Maintenance Technician, you will work in day shifts or in a two-shift rotation; these times are determined in consultation. 

Your tasks as a Maintenance Technician include:

In addition, as a Maintenance Technician, you always work according to the applicable Health & Safety and fire safety procedures and actively contribute to a safe working environment.

• Performing activities related to the construction, implementation, management, and maintenance of the automated High Bay system;
• Ensuring the continuity and availability of the automation installations;
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance;
• Resolving malfunctions and structural errors in the automation;
• Identifying and implementing improvements and cost optimizations;
• Thinking along with and implementing new solutions to optimize processes;
• Performing ad-hoc activities if necessary.

• A technical education or relevant work experience in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar;
• Experience with or a strong interest in automated warehouse systems (preferably High Bay);
• Knowledge of maintenance processes (preventive and corrective);
• Analytical ability and a solution-oriented attitude;
• An eye for cost control and process optimization;
• Awareness of safety and the correct application of PPE;
• A proactive, independent, and flexible working attitude;
• Good collaboration skills and team spirit;
• Willingness to engage in local travel and consultation activities;
• No fear of heights;
• You act according to the JYSK Values and always lead by example.
