MBO Nursing Internship

Are you an eager-to-learn MBO nursing student who is confident and enjoys working with people with complex psychiatric issues? Then we are looking for you!

Within our mental healthcare organization, we offer various internship positions for MBO Nursing students in the Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Haarlem, and Bennebroek region.

During your internship, you will become acquainted with the care of clients with a Severe Psychiatric Disorder (SPD). You will learn how to build a professional working relationship with this target group and develop skills in areas including:

• Motivational interviewing;

• Observing and reporting;

• Recovery-oriented care;

• Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams;

• Dealing with complex psychiatric issues;

• Guiding and supporting clients in their daily functioning.

We offer internship positions for students from all years of the MBO Nursing program. The scope of the internships varies, depending on the educational requirements, from 16 to 32 hours per week.

The range of internship positions is located within clinical care. We provide care to:

• Adults (18 to 65 years);

• Elderly (65+);

Additionally, you can gain experience within both:

• Open wards;

• Closed wards.

We are looking for students who:

• Are eager to learn and curious;

• Can work independently;

• Have strong communication skills;

• Are confident;

• Do not shy away from a challenge;

• Have an affinity for mental healthcare.

Most internships start in February or September. Together, we will look at your year of study, learning goals, and interests to find a suitable internship placement.
