• The Spoedeisende psychiatrie Kennemerland is an acute psychiatric service that is available 24 hours a day. In addition to crisis assessments, we also offer short-term crisis treatment to prevent or shorten a psychiatric admission. We receive referrals from GPs, urgent care centers/ERs, and mental health professionals for acute assessment and crisis intervention.

• Our client population is very diverse, both in background and in psychiatric disorders. We treat, among others, clients with depression, psychosis, and mania. Our treatments are carried out according to the intensive home treatment (IHT) methodology, where preference is given to treatment in the client's own environment.

• The goal of our treatments is to prevent or shorten admissions. We achieve this through home visits, frequent contact with the client, and short-term crisis treatments of a maximum of eight weeks. In doing so, we work closely with the client's immediate environment.

• You will work in a multidisciplinary team, consisting of, among others, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, junior doctors, and community nurses.

• We have excellent partnerships with the police, mayors, GPs, and other healthcare institutions.

• As a junior doctor at KIC, collaboration is central. You work closely with a multidisciplinary team and referrers, and actively participate in team meetings and treatment plan discussions. You conduct interviews and perform acute assessments of clients to determine their medical and psychiatric needs. In doing so, you make medico-psychiatric diagnoses, offer medication consultations, and conduct supportive contacts.

• Together with the client, you draw up treatment indications and treatment plans and further develop these. Additionally, you provide or coordinate somatic care for clients admitted to our clinics. You manage your own caseload and work closely with the multidisciplinary team and referrers.

• You work under the supervision of a psychiatrist and participate in the crisis services outside of office hours at GGZ inGeest as part of the on-call rotation.

• You will receive a permanent employment contract immediately.
