The role

As a psychiatrist, you will work in a multidisciplinary team and provide crucial help to diverse clients. Contribute to research, innovative treatments, and policy development. Together, we strive for effective, personalized, and short-term treatments for a better quality of life.

Appropriate care for your clients

  • Our high care clinic is a closed ward, where we treat a diverse client population (18 to 60 years old). The psychiatric conditions of our clients vary greatly, from psychosis and bipolar disorder to depression and decompensated personality disorder.

  • We offer the right tailored support. Together with the client, their family, and an outpatient team, we establish clear treatment goals and a timeframe. Our goal is to provide effective, personalized, and short-term treatments, so that the client can quickly resume life outside the clinic.

  • Our multidisciplinary team consists of nurses, psychiatrists, doctors, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists. We have excellent partnerships with hospitals and care clinics in the region, allowing us to serve a wide range of clients.

A suitable working environment for you

  • As a psychiatrist at KIC, you always work together. You work closely with the multidisciplinary team and referrers and participate in team meetings and treatment plan discussions.

  • Your responsibilities include drafting and supervising treatment plans, including prescribing and monitoring medication. Together with the client, involved practitioners, and family, you shape the treatment.

  • You provide consultation and advice to other team members, such as psychologists, nurse practitioners, social workers and peer support workers, nurses, and supervisors, regarding complex cases. In doing so, you share your expertise and support the implementation of treatment strategies.

  • Within GGZ inGeest, you are part of the clinical team of psychiatrists, which meets regularly to discuss treatments and cases. This promotes the exchange of experience and knowledge. Additionally, the psychiatrists of the clinics work closely together and take over each other's tasks if necessary.
