As a support worker in the clinic, you always work together. At GGZ inGeest, you offer structure and care to clients. You guide, observe, and signal changes in their physical and mental state. You do this not alone, but together with a multidisciplinary team of lead practitioners, nurses, and support workers.
At GGZ inGeest, we strive to enable clients to participate in society according to their abilities. As a support worker, you contribute to this by working on the self-reliance of our clients.
In addition, you offer support with activities of daily living (ADL), such as personal care and hygiene.
You draw up support plans, implement them, evaluate them, and adjust them if necessary. You signal crisis situations and offer support during interventions. You align the care with the team of practitioners and coordinate this in consultation with the client and their loved ones. Additionally, you play an active role in providing guidance and support to other team members such as interns and students.
The High Care Clinic is an acute admission ward with approximately 20 beds. Our client population, consisting of individuals between 18 and 65 years old, is very diverse, as are their psychiatric conditions. We treat clients with, among others, psychoses, bipolar disorders, depressions, and decompensated personality disorders.
Together with the client, their loved ones, and an outpatient team, we establish clear treatment goals and timelines. Our goal is effective, personal, and short-term treatment, so that the client can quickly resume life outside the clinic. We focus on lifestyle improvement and other group therapies (G-schema) to increase the self-reliance of clients.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of nurses, psychiatrists, doctors, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists. We work together with various chain partners such as the police, neighborhood managers, general practitioners, and RIBWs. Additionally, we have excellent partnerships with hospitals and other healthcare clinics and serve clients from a large part of the region.
You will receive a permanent employment contract immediately.
The position is scaled in FWG 40/45 CAO GGZ.
