As a support worker at the HIC at the Nieuwe Valerius, you always work together. Play an important role within the treatment team to guide individual patients and ensure group dynamics. Observe and signal changes and contribute to a safe and supportive environment. If you want to be part of a team of motivated professionals and a department where the renovation to ICU/ EBK has just taken place, then apply directly with us!

Appropriate care for your clients

  • The clinic high intensive care is an acute admission ward with 21 admission places. We treat patients between the ages of 18 and 60 with a very diverse background and varying psychiatric conditions who are in a severe crisis. Our goal is to avert the crisis and strive for a short-term admission in close cooperation with the patient, their loved ones, and outpatient care. In this, we work according to the HIC model.

  • Although admissions are often not voluntary, we strive to minimize coercion and compulsion.

  • The HIC of the Nieuwe Valerius has been renovated. We have a separate ICU/ EBK on the ward. This allows us to provide even better care, following the latest HIC methodology, to our patients.

  • Our multidisciplinary team consists of nurses, supervisors, psychiatrists, doctors, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and experts by experience. We have excellent partnerships with hospitals and other healthcare clinics.

  • Our team is characterized by an open learning climate where much attention is paid to feedback, initiative, and intervision. We build on each other and there is room for fun and relaxation.
