What we're looking for

  • You have a completed HBO degree in Nursing.

  • Experience with treatment within the GGZ is a plus.

  • You are independent, take initiative, and know when to seek collaboration with colleagues and chain partners.

  • You are curious about the person behind the complaints and can take a broad view of a client's problems.

  • You are observant and can effectively signal and discuss changes in a client's situation.

  • You find it important to work together with clients on recovery, self-reliance, and increasing personal autonomy.

  • You can switch well between different clients, disciplines, and organizations.

Nice to have

  • Preferably, you have at least one year of experience in the outpatient field.

The role

Work with a broad and interesting target group and make a difference in treatment

As an outpatient nurse at the Anxiety and Depression outpatient clinic, you will work with adults with diverse psychological complaints. In addition to anxiety and depression, there is regularly a presence of comorbidity and complex issues. It is precisely this breadth that makes the work interesting: you look beyond the primary diagnosis and have an eye for the person, their environment, and what someone needs to be able to move forward.

You work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other practitioners, but also with chain partners in the region. From your nursing expertise, you offer guidance, conduct intakes, signal changes, and think along about the treatment. You are given plenty of room for your own initiative and work together to provide appropriate care for every client.

What you'll do

  • You conduct intakes and, together with the client, map out the complaints, request for help, context, and treatment needs.

  • You guide clients throughout their treatment and act as an important link between the client and the various practitioners.

  • You observe and signal changes in the psychological and physical condition of clients and discuss these within the multidisciplinary team.

  • You support clients with psychosocial problems and help them to gain more control and structure in their daily lives.

  • You keep an eye on potential crisis situations and support colleagues during crisis-sensitive situations. Where necessary, you coordinate the steps to ensure the client's safety, for example, by drafting a crisis signaling plan.

  • You think along about appropriate care and, in doing so, work together with various chain partners in the region, such as Brijder, Buurts, Autisme Thuis, and Roads.

  • You pay attention to the system surrounding the client and involve loved ones when appropriate.

  • You provide information and advice regarding psychological complaints, treatment, and the prevention of relapse.

  • You stimulate the self-reliance of clients and help them to take responsibility for their own recovery.

  • From your nursing expertise, you make an active contribution to the treatment plan and the collaboration within the multidisciplinary team.

  • You think along about complex cases and, from your expertise, contribute to a broad perspective on the treatment.

About the department

  • You will be working at the Anxiety and Depression outpatient clinic. Despite the name of the clinic, the target group is broad in practice. We treat adults with anxiety and depressive complaints, but also see many comorbid and more complex issues. That makes the work varied and requires a broad view of the client.

  • You work in a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, GZ-psychologists, basic psychologists, nurses, and occupational therapists. There are also colleagues in training working here. Together, you look from different disciplines at what a client needs.

  • Collaboration does not stop at the walls of the outpatient clinic. We work closely with chain partners in the region to ensure that clients receive the right support. Think, for example, of Brijder, Buurts, Autisme Thuis, and Roads. From your role, you have a lot of contact with these parties and know when it is important to seek collaboration.

  • Within the outpatient clinic, we pay attention to recovery, personal autonomy, and the context in which a client lives. In doing so, we look not only at the complaints but also at what someone needs to pick up daily life again and prevent relapse. Trauma can be part of the issues. Based on our "Trauma First" vision, attention is given to this within the treatment, even when comorbidity is present.

  • Additionally, we work closely with our academic department. In addition to education and development, this department focuses on academic patient care and the setting up and conducting of scientific research.

Also important

  • You will be working at the Anxiety and Depression outpatient clinic.

  • You will receive a permanent employment contract immediately.

  • The position is scaled in FWG 55 according to the GGZ collective labor agreement.

  • We support you in your professional development, for example, by deepening your expertise, learning new skills, and increasing your digital knowledge.

With #Geestverwanten, we show who we really are: people who take care very seriously, but who, fortunately, do not always take themselves seriously. Especially now that healthcare is under heavy pressure, we are looking for colleagues who understand that laughing is at least as important as listening.
