We are primarily looking for someone who gets energy from contact with both people and animals. Someone who switches easily between different tasks and enjoys being broadly deployable.
You recognize yourself in this:
You are a qualified veterinary nurse with a valid CIBG registration.
You enjoy telephone contact and are good at listening, asking follow-up questions, and recording the correct information.
You are empathetic and professional, even when an owner is worried, emotional, or in a hurry.
You are stress-resistant and can handle a busy phone line and hectic situations well.
You are proficient with computers and can work quickly and accurately.
You are a team player, flexible, and enjoy taking on various tasks.
If you are a veterinary nurse, you enjoy actively participating in the clinic alongside your telephone duties.
You are available for 32 hours per week. Evening and weekend shifts may be part of the position; night shifts are not required.
Experience is nice, but we find enthusiasm and the right attitude at least as important.
For us, good veterinary medicine is about more than just knowledge and technique. We believe in a strong team in which colleagues help each other, learn from each other, and work together with pleasure.
You can count on:
A varied position for 32 hours per week.
An enthusiastic and experienced team with an open and informal working atmosphere.
A good onboarding period and guidance that matches your experience.
A modern clinic featuring, among other things, digital X-ray, ultrasound, blood analysis, CT scan, and gas anesthesia.
Work at various locations within Rotterdam.
Room for personal development, training, and growth opportunities within AniCura.
Good employment conditions and a suitable salary with growth opportunities.
A starting salary from € 2,840 gross per month based on 40 hours per week.
Participation in the pension fund and full reimbursement of travel expenses.
And of course: a team where hard work is done, but where there is also plenty of room for socializing and job satisfaction.
Are you a veterinary nurse and do you also get energy from a good telephone conversation? Or are you an experienced receptionist with a veterinary nurse diploma who would like to apply your skills more broadly within an animal clinic? Then we have a great place for you!
At AniCura Animal Clinic Rotterdam, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague for 32 hours per week who enjoys alternating between telephone duties and duties as a veterinary nurse. Because why should you have to choose between the two?
In this position, you are an important link between our clients, their animals, and the team in the clinic. Part of your time, you are the primary point of contact on the phone. You answer questions from pet owners, think along, ask follow-up questions, and ensure that appointments are placed in the calendar correctly.
In doing so, you are not only friendly and helpful, but you can also accurately assess which information is important. Sometimes a simple appointment is sufficient; sometimes you need to ask further to get a clear picture of the situation.
Additionally, you will also work as a veterinary nurse within our clinic. You support the veterinarians during consultations, perform laboratory research, handle administrative tasks, and have contact with clients at the front desk. This means you can actually apply your knowledge and experience on the work floor.
It is precisely the combination that makes this position so enjoyable: one moment you are concentrated on the phone, the next you are in the middle of the clinic's dynamics working with animals, owners, and colleagues.
You will work within our team of 19 veterinarians and approximately 25 veterinary nurses, spread across five locations in Rotterdam. We offer both primary and secondary care, which means many different tasks and cases come your way.
We find it important that you feel comfortable in the team and receive a good onboarding. That is why you will start at one of our locations, so that you can get to know our way of working, colleagues and systems well. In time, it will be possible to do part of the telephone work from home.
Whether you primarily see yourself as a veterinary nurse with a talent for telephony or as a receptionist with a background as a veterinary nurse, we are curious to meet you!
