At our outpatient clinic, you are a familiar face for patients, ensure that everything surrounding their visit is well-organized, and contribute to a care experience in which attention and quality are central. You will get the space to practice your profession broadly and to further specialize in dermatological and oncological care. In this way, you work together with doctors and colleagues with different areas of focus and play an important role in various treatments.

• Provide personal attention: you put patients at ease, communicate clearly, and have an eye for their questions, concerns, and needs.

• Ensure a smooth care process: you maintain an overview, coordinate with colleagues, and ensure that patients know what to expect.

• Assist in Mohs surgery: a specialized surgical technique that is widely applied in certain forms of skin cancer. During this treatment, the doctor removes the tumor layer by layer. Each tissue sample is immediately examined microscopically so that it can be determined exactly whether tumor cells are still present. This allows the doctor to continue treatment in a targeted manner and preserve as much healthy tissue as possible. You support the doctor during this precise procedure, where cooperation, concentration, and attention to detail are essential.

• Assist during consultations and medical procedures: you support the doctor with, among other things, biopsies and excisions.

• Manage practical and administrative matters: from registering patients and making follow-up appointments to the administration surrounding admissions.

• Run your own consultation hours: you receive the responsibility and trust to perform tasks at the outpatient clinic independently.

We are looking for a socially sensitive medical assistant who can work well independently but also enjoys working in a team. Furthermore, you are:

• A qualified medical assistant;

• An accurate and structured worker who likes to ensure that everything runs smoothly;

• An accessible personality with a heart for the patient;

• Communicatively strong and proficient in Dutch;

• Involved in what is happening around you and enthusiastic about working in a dynamic hospital environment;

• Someone who has an eye for detail but also keeps sight of the big picture;

• Experience as a medical assistant within Dermatology is a plus, but not a requirement.

The basis for your terms of employment is in accordance with the Cao Ziekenhuizen (Collective Labour Agreement for Hospitals). You will receive from us:

• A one-year contract for 32 to 36 hours per week, with a view to a permanent contract; 

• A gross monthly salary between € 2,750 and € 3,959, based on a 36-hour work week, corresponding to FWG 40 and depending on your experience;

• 144 vacation hours and 57 hours of Personal Life Stage Budget, based on full-time employment;

• An annual 8.33% holiday allowance and a fixed year-end bonus of 8.33%;

• A travel allowance of € 0.23 per km;

• Free parking at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, but with our bicycle scheme and discounts on public transport, we also make it attractive for you to leave the car behind;
