The role

At De Vries Scheepsbouw Makkum, the pearl of the Frisian economy, we build exceptional Feadships: world-class yachts, fully customized to the client's wishes and finished to perfection. From our modern shipyard on the IJsselmeer, we proudly work on projects up to 120 meters. Every detail counts, and everyone's craftsmanship contributes to the final result. Together, we realize yachts that garner admiration worldwide. That is your contribution to the construction of a Feadship.

What you'll do

As a Structural Fitter, you will manufacture and assemble various structures and technical components aboard superyachts. You will work from technical drawings and diagrams and ensure that components are accurately built, adjusted, and placed. Your duties include:

  • Manufacturing and installing foundations, drip trays, equipment, and pumps;
  • Installing floors, decks, and structures in technical spaces;
  • Assembling exhaust systems for engines and generators;
  • Performing welding work on piping, frames, floors, and structural parts;
  • Collaborating with fitters, pipefitters, and other colleagues within the Assembly department;
  • Working from technical drawings and diagrams to construct structures accurately.

No two days are the same. Because every yacht is custom-made, you will continuously work on new solutions and various technical challenges.

Working on superyachts means working on projects you don't encounter everywhere. That is why we invest not only in projects, but also in the people working on them.
