The role

As an Interim Manager Business Control, do you want to play a key role in the further sustainability of the Netherlands? Are you able to quickly translate financial insights into strategic choices, bring calm and direction to a dynamic environment, and effectively lead a team at the same time? Then we are looking for you!

As Interim Manager Business Control at Ennatuurlijk, you will lead the Business Control, Investment, and Risk teams. You are responsible for the integrated financial management of the organization and ensure continuity, focus, and results within an organization that is at the forefront of the energy transition.

What you'll do

You are a strong interlocutor for the board, MT, and shareholders. Based on financial analyses, scenarios, investment proposals, and risk assessments, you translate insights into clear advice and concrete decision-making. You oversee complex issues and know how to quickly establish the connection between strategy, operations, and financial results. To do this successfully:

  • You lead a team of over 10 professionals and ensure focus, collaboration, and clear priorities;

  • You translate financial analyses, forecasts, and market developments into concrete management information for the board and management;

  • You ensure cohesion between business control, investments, and risk management and advise on strategic and business-critical issues;

  • You implement improvements where necessary in KPI management, dashboards, reporting, and performance management;

  • You act as a strong sparring partner for the board, shareholders, financiers, and supervisory board members;

  • You safeguard continuity and deliver visible results within the agreed interim assignment.

You feel at home in an environment where changes follow one another quickly and where you are expected to provide direction independently. You combine strategic insight with a pragmatic approach and know how to quickly build trust within the organization. In doing so, you work intensively with the board, operations, commercial, projects, IT, and staff departments, and you switch smoothly between operational, tactical, and strategic issues.

What we ask

You combine analytical sharpness with connecting leadership and a strong strategic vision. With your stylistic flexibility, you know how to maintain good contact with both the board and operations, bring interests together, and translate insights into guiding choices. In doing so, you create an environment in which professionals can grow in responsibility and performance. Furthermore, you bring:

  • A completed university degree (WO) in Finance, Business Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics, or a similar field, supplemented by relevant professional qualifications (such as RC, RA, CFA, or similar);

  • Extensive experience in a complex, project-based, and capital-intensive environment, with broad knowledge of business control, investment issues, and risk management;

  • Experience within the energy sector, infrastructure, or another asset-intensive environment, where you are accustomed to operating in a dynamic stakeholder field;

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex financial issues in an understandable and persuasive manner at various levels;

  • Proven leadership in a changing organization, where you provide direction, create connections, and actively invest in the development of people and teams.

What we offer

A challenging interim assignment within an organization that is at the forefront of the energy transition. You will receive a key role in the financial management of Ennatuurlijk, with a direct impact on strategic decision-making and organizational development.

  • An interim assignment at MT level with significant responsibility and visibility;

  • Leadership over the Business Control, Investment, and Risk teams;

  • A professional and dynamic working environment with short lines to the board and shareholders;

  • Room for own initiative and the opportunity to add value directly;

  • Hybrid working with appropriate facilities;

  • A market-conform rate, depending on experience and expertise.

Practical: commitment of 32-40 hours per week, start mid-November, location Eindhoven. The assignment has an expected duration of 6 months.
