Business Controller Operations

Within our Liquid Food Business Unit, we are looking for a Business Controller Operations who brings finance and daily operations closer together. You will be the financial sparring partner for our operational teams and help them to work smarter, more efficiently, and more profitably.

As a Business Controller Operations, you are close to the operation. You work closely with colleagues from transport, planning, finance, and management. You analyze performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate financial and operational data into concrete actions.

So, you are not just busy with reporting and analysis, but you primarily look at what is happening behind the numbers. Why are certain costs rising? Where can we better utilize our capacity? And how can we further optimize our transport processes?

You help the organization to find the right answers and to actually implement improvements.

• You develop and analyze financial and operational KPIs, such as cost prices, productivity, occupancy rate, empty kilometers, and waiting times.

• You map out performance per customer, route, activity, and planning team and translate deviations into concrete improvement actions.

• You prepare reports, budgets, and forecasts and provide management with insight into developments, risks, and opportunities.

• You are a critical and engaged sparring partner for our operational managers and planning teams.

• You develop business cases and scenario analyses for investments, capacity issues, and operational improvements.

• You work on the further development of dashboards, reports, and reliable management information.

• You initiate and guide improvement projects focused on efficiency, scalability, and profitability.

• You ensure that financial insights do not remain on paper, but actually lead to better decisions.

You will be given the space to perform analyses independently, think critically about operational choices, and take on improvement initiatives. In doing so, you will work directly with the people who are responsible for our transport operation every day.

You are not just the one who shows what the numbers say, but primarily the one who helps determine what we are going to do with them.

We are looking for an analytically strong Business Controller who feels at home in a dynamic, operational environment. Someone who loves to dive into the details, but also easily engages in conversation with colleagues outside of finance.

You recognize yourself in the following:

• You possess HBO or WO working and thinking levels, preferably in a financial, business economics, or business administration direction.

• You have experience within business control, financial control, or a comparable analytical financial role.

• You are strong in analyzing financial and operational data and know how to translate this into understandable insights and concrete improvements.

• You have an affinity with logistics, transport, or another operationally driven environment.

• You have experience with budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and developing business cases, or are ready to grow further in these areas.

• You are a strong communicator and dare to ask critical questions, including towards management.

• You work proactively, independently, and result-oriented, and know how to connect different departments with each other.

• You think in solutions and enjoy setting up processes more smartly and efficiently.

Your attitude is at least as important as your experience. You are curious, hands-on, and enjoy diving into the operation yourself. You do not wait until someone asks for an analysis, but you identify where opportunities lie and take the initiative to set improvements in motion.
