At DTS, you are therefore not only responsible for the successful realization of technically challenging projects, but you also get the chance to make an important contribution to the further development and professionalization of our organization. You work close to the technology, are regularly in our own workshop, and see how your projects grow from the first customer request into complete installations that are deployed worldwide.
A versatile role in which technology, project management, commercial insight, and organizational development come together, with plenty of room for your own initiative and responsibility.
DutchTecSource (DTS) has been developing and building innovative machines for the food processing industry for more than 25 years. From our workshop in Beusichem, we realize custom solutions that are deployed worldwide. From raw stainless steel material to a fully operational machine: at DTS, we build installations completely in-house from start to finish.
There is a high probability that products you encounter daily in the supermarket have been processed using our machines. Because of this, DTS has had an established name in the international food processing industry for years.
Demand for our machines is growing worldwide. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager who will not only lead our technical projects effectively, but also play an important role in further developing and professionalizing project management within DTS.
As a Senior Project Manager, you are responsible from start to finish for the successful realization of our high-tech process and machine solutions for the food industry. You monitor the planning, budget, quality, and progress of your projects and ensure that all involved departments have the right information to optimally coordinate their activities.
.
From the handover from Sales, you take full responsibility for the project through to the final delivery to the customer. You work closely with Engineering, Work Preparation, Purchasing, Production, and Service, and ensure that everyone knows what needs to be done, where the project stands, and which risks require attention.
Your responsibility goes much further than just the engineering phase. You maintain an overview of the entire trajectory, from the initial technical design and material procurement to production in our own workshop, installation on location, and the final commissioning. You coordinate the activities and mutual dependencies between the various departments, identify bottlenecks before they become problems, and ensure that projects are realized within the agreed planning, quality, and available budget.
Additionally, you are the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the project. You maintain regular contact, monitor expectations, and ensure clear communication regarding progress, technical choices, and any changes. In doing so, you not only have an eye for technical execution but are also responsible for the financial and commercial results of your projects.
In addition to leading your own projects, as a Senior Project Manager, you will take the lead in the further development and professionalization of project management within DTS. Together with your fellow Project Manager, you will work on improving the way projects are organized, monitored, and executed. This includes further structuring project schedules, risk management, budget monitoring, project handovers, and the provision of information between the various departments. You bring your experience, guide less experienced colleagues in their development, and are given the space to actually exert influence on the way projects are organized and executed within DTS.
You will work on technically challenging projects with a lead time of 4 months to a year, averaging about 8 months. From blanchers and cookers to complete production lines that process up to 30 tons of food per hour.
Being responsible from start to finish for the realization of technical projects, from handover from Sales through to installation, commissioning, and delivery
Drafting, monitoring, and adjusting project schedules, budgets, quality, and progress
Coordinating activities and mutual dependencies within your projects between Engineering, Work Preparation, Purchasing, Production, and Service
Monitoring project costs, margins, and extra or reduced work, with responsibility for the financial result
Identifying and managing technical, operational, and financial project risks
Maintaining customer contact and ensuring good expectation management throughout the entire project
Monitoring project progress within the various departments, including Engineering, Production, and Assembly, in close cooperation with the managers of these departments
Coordinating installation and commissioning at international customers, in collaboration with our Service department
Taking initiative in the further development and professionalization of project management processes, including project handovers, documentation, planning, risk management, and project evaluations
Guiding and providing substantive support to less experienced Project Managers and contributing together to further standardization and structure within the organization
