The energy transition demands smart, decisive professionals. In Team South Prepare 1, we work daily on the successful delivery of large, complex projects related to core activities via various project management methodologies. Key areas of focus include project, program, and portfolio management and project services, so that the Netherlands can also rely on a reliable electricity grid tomorrow. Will you contribute to this as Project Manager Brabant/Limburg?
TenneT's Greenfield South Netherlands region is responsible for onshore (new build) projects in the Netherlands. Our project portfolio will continue to grow in the coming years. To realize our projects on time, within budget, in connection with others, and with excellent quality, you and your TenneT colleagues are working hard to adapt the current electricity grid so that we are prepared for all changes.
The projects of the Greenfield South Region focus on the realization of new high-voltage substations and high-voltage connections (150kV and 380 kV electricity transmission network).
You will be working on one of the large nMIEK projects in the Netherlands. This project makes an important contribution to solving grid congestion in Limburg and enables the further sustainability and development of industry in the region. Together with an experienced integrated project team of specialists, you are responsible for the Prepare phase of the project: from exploration and plan development to obtaining the necessary planning decisions and a controlled handover moment to the realization phase. In doing so, you will work intensively with municipalities, provinces, ministries, and other strategic stakeholders.
How do you keep the Netherlands going? As Projectmanager Brabant/Limburg you are responsible for defining and realizing the scope, objectives and results by drawing up detailed portfolio, programme or project plans with timelines and assigning people and physical resources, with specific attention to the efficient use of financial resources, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
You bear ultimate responsibility for realizing administrative support and successfully navigating complex decision-making processes with municipalities, provinces, ministries, and other stakeholders. You are able to connect diverse interests without losing sight of the project goal.
You identify risks in a timely manner, make dilemmas explicit, and ensure clear decision-making at the appropriate levels within the organization. In doing so, you dare to take a stand, are a strong interlocutor for administrators and external stakeholders, and know how to remain steady even under pressure. To achieve this, you manage a dedicated integrated project team that deals with all work packages in the fields of planning, environmental management (including communication, permits, and land matters), and technical design. Naturally, you act as the client to third parties for the necessary studies and investigations. You are responsible for scope, time, money, and quality, and you actively manage these.
Additionally, you are responsible for, among other things:
This role falls within the job profile Project Delivery & Execution Project Manager, so that it is clear to both you and TenneT which responsibilities, expectations, and growth opportunities belong to this position.
