Senior WMS Engineer

• HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level at bachelor's level, for example in logistics, supply chain, or ICT, and preferably at least 3 years of experience in WMS engineering or a similar position;
• experience with customer conversations in which you determine requirements and scope, ask probing questions, and translate logistical needs into a suitable application design;
• good command of English in speech and writing, preferably supplemented with Dutch, and the ability to explain technical choices clearly and take the substantive lead.

• knowledge of warehouse processes and SQL and experience with configuring or implementing WMS systems, where experience with Blue Yonder Dispatcher is a plus;

A WMS that aligns with practice begins with understanding what customers and colleagues need. Translating those needs into solutions for our new warehouse in Almelo and our Eastern Netherlands region: you will contribute to this.

How do you do this? As a senior WMS engineer, you oversee the entire process flow and ask probing questions until the requirements and project scope are clear. You translate process designs into functional and technical application designs within the CargoWrite WMS suite, using Blue Yonder Dispatcher. For this, you work closely with project managers, process engineers, IT teams, and customers. You take the substantive lead, act as a point of reference for colleagues, and personally participate in building and testing solutions. You will achieve this by:

• identifying customer needs and determining requirements and scope, while looking across departments and assessing the impact on processes and systems;
• translating process flows into functional and technical application designs and building and configuring WMS solutions within CargoWrite;
• performing FAT testing and supervising system, integration, and acceptance testing, customer implementations, and go-lives;
• providing substantive direction to WMS projects and changes, sharing your expertise, and ensuring quality, documentation, and performance.
