What we're looking for

· A completed HBO or WO degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or similar.

· You have at least 5 years of experience as a cost engineer or a similar role within technology or projects.

· You have strong analytical abilities and experience with budgeting, calculation, and cost optimization.

· You have excellent communication skills and experience with stakeholder management.

· You have experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel functionalities.

· You have a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.

The role

As a senior cost engineer, you are responsible for the complete calculation, analysis, and optimization of costs within our organization. You advise management on budgeting, cost control, and investment decisions. You work closely with project leaders, engineers, and suppliers to realize projects cost-efficiently and successfully.

What you'll do

· You are responsible for cost calculations and budgeting of complex projects.

· You monitor and analyze project costs and advise on deviations.

· You prepare financial reports and perform scenario analyses.

· You guide and coach junior cost engineers within the team.

· You optimize processes surrounding cost control and project calculation.

· You work together with internal and external stakeholders to realize projects.
