For this role, we are looking for an engineer with experience within telecom or fiber optic networks who can independently analyze technical issues and translate them into practical solutions.
You recognize yourself in the following:
HBO working and thinking level.
Experience as a telecom engineer, fiber optic engineer, and/or network engineer.
Analytical and solution-oriented.
Experience in developing technical designs.
Pleasant in collaboration with project teams and fellow engineers.
As a Senior Fiber Optic Engineer in Harderwijk, you will work on designing and improving fiber optic networks within telecom projects. You translate initial designs and survey data into technical designs that align with the situation in the field. In doing so, you take existing infrastructure, technical requirements, and the practical feasibility of the network into account.
When the practical situation deviates from the original design, you analyze the difference and develop an appropriate technical solution. This ensures that projects can proceed and that the quality of the network is maintained.
As a Senior Engineer, you work on developing and optimizing designs for fiber optic networks. You translate initial designs into technical designs that are feasible in practice. In doing so, you take the existing infrastructure and the situation in the field into account. During projects, it may occur that the practical situation turns out to be different from the original design. In those cases, you analyze where the difference lies and develop an adjusted technical solution so that the project team can proceed with execution. In this role, you collaborate closely with work preparers, site managers, and other engineers. In your daily work, you use systems such as COCON to develop and adjust network designs.
Concretely, this means that you will, among other things:
Develop and optimize technical designs for fiber optic networks.
Analyze deviations between design and the practical situation.
Develop technical solutions so that projects can proceed.
Coordinate with engineers, work preparers, and site managers within the project team.
Develop and adjust network designs in COCON.
