• Demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable data-driven role;
• Knowledge of programming and query languages such as Python, SQL, Java, and MS SQL;
• Experience with CI/CD processes, DevOps principles, data integration, and data modeling;
• Familiarity with data profiling, metadata management, and modern data warehouse architectures;
• Affinity with cloud, data platforms, and (preferably) AI / machine learning applications;
• Analytical and result-oriented way of working with a structured approach;
• Excellent command of the Dutch language at C1 level.

As a Medior Data Engineer in Zwolle, you design and develop end-to-end data solutions that help organizations work in a data-driven and AI-driven manner. You lay the foundation for smart applications, such as advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence, by building robust, scalable, and reliable data architectures. You translate complex data issues into future-proof solutions and develop modern data platforms such as Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouses. These form the foundations upon which analytics and AI applications run. Data engineers play a crucial role in this, because AI only works with well-structured and reliable data. Using technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake, you realize data pipelines, efficient ELT processes, and automated cloud workloads. Additionally, you are increasingly working with AI support to accelerate processes, for example when building, monitoring, and optimizing pipelines. You work closely with customers, data scientists, and AI specialists and ensure that data is available, reliable, and suitable for applications such as machine learning and generative AI. You monitor data quality, data governance, and security and ensure that data products demonstrably add value to the organization.
