(Graduation) Internship Limburg and Brabant

BESIX Infra Nederland is the knowledge-driven contractor for road construction on the Dutch market, active in road construction, sewerage installation, environmental remediation and the construction of public spaces.

We are strong in the disciplines of preparation, earthworks, sewerage, paving, foundations and asphalt concrete, whereby we always put the environment at the center. We excel in RAW and UAV-GC projects and have extensive experience working in construction teams.

In addition to our head office in Herten and regional office in Den Bosch, we have our own asphalt plant in Roermond. Because of this, we are not dependent on third parties and can act as an advisor regarding asphalt issues.

We are part of BESIX Infra, which belongs to the top 3 players on the Belgian infrastructure market, for both public and private clients.

A total of 100 people are employed at the Herten, Roermond and Den Bosch locations; the atmosphere is informal and the lines are short. For all locations, we have the possibility of a working internship or a graduation internship!

Every year, we have space for one or more (graduation) interns on various projects. As an intern, we give you the chance to work on one of our ongoing projects in various places in Limburg and North-East Brabant, or to complete your assignment at our asphalt plant in Roermond.

Ruben: BESIX Infra Nederland gives you the chance to learn something; in doing so, all employees will offer their help so that certain internship goals or internship assignments can be carried out and achieved. The atmosphere is good and the team consists of a good mix of young employees and more experienced employees. What I personally experienced as very nice is that everyone is accessible, there is no barrier between employees or certain functions, and I naturally learned a lot. And following my graduation internship, I was immediately offered a job as a junior site manager, so this is where I am going to continue gaining my experience!

Kees: BESIX Infra Nederland is a perfect internship location to gain experience in road construction. I studied Civil Engineering at Zuyd Hogeschool, where various internships are central during the program. I was able to complete these internships at BESIX Infra Nederland. My very first internship was an introductory internship of 10 weeks to get acquainted with the field of road construction. During this internship, I was able to contribute within BESIX Infra Nederland to the renewal of the sewerage system and superstructure in a residential area.

Subsequently, I also completed my professional preparatory internship here and contributed to the reconstruction of an area access road within the built-up area. In this, all facets of road construction were covered such as: sewerage works, street works, asphalt works and earthmoving. 

With a view to the future and because I was already familiar with the organization, I also wrote my graduation thesis at BESIX Infra Nederland together with a fellow student (Ruben). Ultimately, this resulted in a job for both of us as a Junior Site Manager and Junior Project Coordinator.

As a nice extra, you receive an internship allowance of €650,- gross per month based on 40 hours per week.
