Road Construction Foreman (Gelderland and Noord-Brabant)

Your next challenge lies in Gelderland and Noord‑Brabant. As a road construction foreman at Gebr. Van Kessel, you set the tone on the construction site. You lead projects effectively, make decisions at the right moment, and maintain an overview, even when pressure increases. Working from the Midden/Zuid branch, with locations in Buren and Tilburg, you will work on diverse and visible road construction projects where your experience makes the difference. Examples of these projects include Stadsforum Tilburg and the realization of a residential area in Meteren.

This is a role for a foreman who does not wait, but looks ahead. Someone who takes ownership, brings their team along, and is visibly proud of the work achieved together.

As a road construction foreman, you hold ultimate responsibility for the daily execution of your projects in Gelderland and Noord‑Brabant. You translate the work plan into tight and safe execution and continuously manage planning, quality, costs, and safety. Naturally, you are present on the projects and act as the central point of contact there.

You are part of the Road Construction Midden/Zuid department. The team is characterized by short lines of communication, craftsmanship, and mutual trust. We work hard, are clear with one another, and celebrate successes together. You will be given the space to organize your projects in your own way, with the backing of an experienced organization.

On the construction site, you organize the work, provide direction to your own employees and subcontractors, and adjust when necessary. You establish clear agreements and ensure that everyone knows what is expected of them. Thanks to your leadership, the construction site runs in a controlled and predictable manner.

You monitor progress and ensure that activities are carried out according to procedures, contract agreements, and safety regulations. Additionally, you handle the associated administration, such as specification administration and processing receipts from subcontractors and suppliers. You maintain control, signal deviations early, and take action before risks become problems.

You work intensively with project managers and work preparers and are a substantively strong sparring partner within the project team. You see bottlenecks coming and translate them into practical solutions. Projects vary from (urban) reconstructions and redesigns to preparing new construction sites for building and habitation within Gelderland and Noord‑Brabant.

Within this position, there are plenty of growth opportunities, for example towards larger and more complex projects or a broader role within operations.

You are an experienced foreman who brings calm and overview. You take responsibility, communicate clearly, and know how to connect people to the common goal. You switch easily between operations and consultation, remain sharp under pressure, and dare to make decisions. You feel like an owner of the project and work result-oriented with an eye for your team.

We ask for:

• A completed education in Civil Engineering or Built Environment

• At least 3 years of experience as a foreman in road construction

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Demonstrable focus on safety, quality, and planning

• Driving license B
