An important part of this is our work for NS Groep within lot 5 of a framework contract. This lot focuses on soil and remediation advice: we conduct soil investigations, draw up remediation plans, and ensure that projects comply with all environmental technical requirements. In this way, we actively contribute to sustainability and safety in the rail environment.

As a Mid-level Soil Advisor with a focus on rail projects, you are the connecting link between technology, regulation, and practice. You work closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to approach soil and environmental issues integrally. From coordinating investigations and translating results into clear advice to supervising execution: you ensure that all parties involved are aligned. Through your communication skills and solution-oriented approach, you contribute to safe, sustainable, and future-proof rail projects.

• Advising on soil investigation, remediation, and environmental hygiene aspects within rail projects;

• Assessing environmental risks and advising on appropriate management measures;

• Drawing up clear reports, advice, and specifications for internal teams and external stakeholders;

• Acting as a point of contact for contractors, authorities, and project partners, ensuring good coordination and collaboration;

• Identifying opportunities for innovative, sustainable, and efficient solutions;

• Actively contributing to knowledge sharing and supervising junior colleagues within the team.

• Completed HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (University) degree in Soil, Environment, Civil Engineering, or similar;

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in soil consultancy, preferably within infrastructure or rail projects;

• Strong analytical skills, a pragmatic attitude, and a true connector;

• Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work both independently and in a team;

• Enthusiastic about contributing to innovative and sustainable solutions for complex projects.
