Urban Water Project Advisor

You have completed the first years of your career in urban water and by now know perfectly well what is happening: sewerage, groundwater, climate adaptation. You notice that you are ready for more personal responsibility - not just advising on content, but also leading projects yourself, managing clients, and making choices regarding process and planning.

At Aveco de Bondt, you don't have to choose between them. As a project advisor, you combine both: you are a technical interlocutor and you manage projects. How much emphasis is placed on each part grows along with what suits you.

Urban water is more than just technology. It is the foundation of a climate-resilient city: how do you prevent flooding, how do you maintain groundwater levels, how do you ensure a neighborhood keeps dry feet during a summer downpour. As a project advisor, you work directly on that challenge, with a visible effect on the living environment.

As an urban water project advisor, you combine content and management. You advise municipalities, water boards, and developers on urban water and climate adaptation, and you are simultaneously (partly) responsible for the planning, budget, and progress of your projects. You switch effortlessly between technical depth and managing process and collaboration - with clients, specialists, and sometimes younger colleagues.

No strict separation between advising and leading, therefore, but a role in which you determine for yourself where your emphasis lies, and in which you quickly receive a lot of personal responsibility.

Salary indication: €3,200-5,000 (based on 40 hours)
Experience level: medior (3-5 years)

• Hydrological model support Limburg Water Board;

• Drainage plans Haarlem;

• Urban Water system overview Nijkerk.

• A HBO or WO degree, for example Civil Engineering, Water Management, Hydrology, or similar;

• Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience within urban water;

• Knowledge of sewerage, groundwater, and/or climate adaptation;

• Affinity with or interest in tools such as Infoworks, SOBEK/D-Hydro, Tygron, and GIS;

• Ambition to grow both technically and in project management;

• An independent working attitude, with a sincere interest in collaborating and learning from specialists.
