What we're looking for

A completed HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) degree, for example in traffic engineering, (civil) engineering, or a comparable field;
3–5 years of relevant work experience within the traffic engineering world;
Experience as a (junior) project leader or the ambition to grow into that role;
Analytical ability and a structured way of working;
(Basic) knowledge of traffic models such as OmniTrans, Vissim, or Visum and traffic engineering data sources (including GIS data);
Communication skills and the drive to reach strong solutions together.

What you'll do

As a (junior) traffic data project leader, you will be at the helm of projects where traffic engineering expertise, data, and smart models converge. You will advise clients on complex mobility issues and monitor the progress of projects in which we work with various data sources and traffic models, such as OmniTrans, Vissim, and Visum. You bridge the gap between the client and specialists: you make the client's request concrete and translate it into a clear plan of approach. Thanks to your structured and proactive way of working, you ensure that every project runs smoothly and that clients receive advice they can build upon.

Furthermore, you will work on innovative products that we develop ourselves. Think of the Local Traffic Monitor, in which we smartly combine different data sources into accurate traffic intensities at street level. With this, you directly provide input for, among other things, noise legislation, mobility policy, and scenario analyses for municipalities. And when existing data sources or models fall short, you think along about new solutions that make a difference.

Being the point of contact for clients and ensuring a smooth project progression;
Translating complex traffic engineering issues into concrete actions for the project team;
Leading a team of 2-3 advisors and specialists towards clear, supported advice;
Working with diverse data sources, traffic models, and innovative tools;
Thinking along with and contributing to digital products such as the Local Traffic Monitor;
Making an impact on mobility in the living environment together with colleagues and clients.

You will become part of the Traffic advisory group: a young, enthusiastic team of about 25 colleagues working on smart mobility solutions. Innovation, collaboration, and product development are central. You will work together with traffic modelers, data specialists, planners, and experts from other disciplines within Antea Group. In projects, you will liaise with municipalities, provinces, Rijkswaterstaat, and other public organizations. The atmosphere is open, collegial, and focused on getting better together.
