University degree (WO) in Law, preferably in administrative law/state and administrative law;
At least 5 years of relevant work experience (more is always welcome);
Affinity with real estate, spatial planning, and the Environment Act;
Strong communicator: you write clearly, present firmly, and remain relaxed under time pressure;
Independent and a team player; positive, eager to learn, and solution-oriented.
What will you do as a legal specialist in damage and environmental law at Antea Group?
Complex spatial puzzles, conflicting interests, and the art of turning them into independent advice: does that sound like something for you? Then we have a great challenge for you. As a legal specialist, you will prepare careful advice and analyses—often regarding compensation for loss—concerning planning changes in the living environment. In this way, you contribute to societal challenges such as housing construction and the energy transition. You will primarily advise governments and developers, working alongside our stewards, appraisers, planners, and spatial economists. Whether you already have years of experience or want to further develop yourself: with us, you get the space to grow and to develop more broadly within a team of specialists.
Preparing legal advice and analyses regarding compensation for loss (planning damage);
Managing procedures tightly and representing clients in objections and (higher) appeals;
Reading files from a spatial and planning perspective as well; thinking along with the appraiser where necessary;
Combining office work with field work and work at client locations;
Preparing and facilitating hearings; working on advice that withstands judicial review;
Sharing knowledge within the team and, if you wish, coaching young colleagues;
Working in a company that takes creativity, pragmatism, collaboration, and sustainability seriously.
You will be part of the Planning & Land Affairs team. Every day, you will brainstorm with planners, spatial economists, appraisers, and legal specialists; where necessary, you will bring in specialists (e.g., environmental themes) to substantiate your advice. You will communicate directly with governments, developers, and stakeholders. Multidisciplinary when necessary, independent when possible, and always with an eye for societal impact.
