Junior Soil Advisor

Due to a growing portfolio, we are looking for enterprising entry-level soil advisors for the Environment & Energy department. Your activities are diverse but include, among other things, conducting historical soil research, preparing fieldwork, and analyzing and advising on the results of the soil research you supervise. You will have a lot of contact with your colleagues both inside and outside the company, as well as with the client. Depending on your ambitions, there are various opportunities for career growth.

• Preparing, supervising, and evaluating soil investigations;

• Collaborating with colleagues involved in soil research and soil policy;

• Researching, advising, organizing, and realizing projects;

• Utilizing state-of-the-art techniques such as sensing, software, and big data;

• Working for both government bodies and the business community.

To grow into an independent and professional soil advisor, you will follow a structured training program in your first year, in which practical learning is combined with in-depth subject matter expertise. You will receive personal guidance from an experienced mentor, and there are fixed development and evaluation moments after 1, 3, 6, and 9 months, so that your growth is actively monitored and secured. Additionally, you will follow the training to become a soil advisor, consisting of various knowledge sessions, including:

• Historical soil research;

• Fieldwork and interpretation;

• Digitization and data-driven working;

• Substance properties;

• Working with QGIS;

• Use of AI.

• A salary between €3,000 and €4,000 gross per month (based on 40 hours), depending on experience;

• A completed HBO/University degree, preferably in Environmental Science, Earth Sciences, Spatial Development, Urban Planning, Spatial Planning, or similar;

• Interest in the field of soil (is more important than your field of study);

• Collegial, involved, and a team player;

• Good communication skills, both written and oral;

• Structured and organized;

• You are available for 32 to 40 hours per week.
