Spatial Development Advisor

• a completed HBO or WO degree, preferably in the field of spatial planning and/or urban planning and/or environmental law;

• at least 5 years of experience in drafting spatial plans, environmental impact assessments, and guiding spatial procedures;

• substantive knowledge of the Environment Act.

Through your expertise, spatial ambitions take shape.

• You draft spatial plans, primarily in the plan elaboration phase. Think of amending the environmental plan, a BOPA, and project decisions.

• Together with driven and expert colleagues, you work on integrated tasks and advise clients (external and internal) on the integration of complex spatial projects and the corresponding procedures to be followed.

• You apply your knowledge and experience to answer legal planning questions and to mentor junior planners within our team.

You get the chance to work on projects that truly matter for the livability, accessibility, sustainability, and design of our country. This includes integrated projects such as PHS Amsterdam, MIRT exploration Public Transport and Housing in Utrecht, Rondweg Urk and Tiel, and the plan elaboration for a wide variety of energy transition projects such as Breukelen-Kortrijk. For these projects, together with our planners, you draft various planning products and assessments and implement both internally and externally the Environment Act.

Through your knowledge and experience, you know how projects must be made spatially possible and which spatial legal procedures must be followed. Additionally, you know your way around various government agencies (such as municipalities and provinces) and are familiar with the spatial decision-making processes within these organizations. You know how to leverage this experience for the successful realization of projects.
