Do you enjoy working independently on faults in complex networks and do you want to make an impact on the internet of the Netherlands? Then this is your chance as a Telecom Technician/ Field engineer at Allinq.
As a telecom technician, you work in the heart of the telecom network and ensure that connections keep running. You travel independently, resolve faults, and work on switches, routers, and network infrastructure. This role is perfect for a technical specialist who wants to combine freedom with responsibility.
As a Telecom Technician within Fieldforce, you are responsible for resolving faults and performing work in the higher network layers of telecom networks. You work primarily independently from your service van and handle tickets at various locations in your region.
You work on, among other things, switches, routers, and power supplies and ensure that faults are resolved quickly and correctly. In some situations, you work together with colleagues on more complex investigations, but in most cases, you are on the road independently.
You have a lot of freedom in how you perform and plan your activities, within the framework of agreements with customers and SLAs. This makes the role technically challenging and varied.
Your work area? From Rotterdam to Breda, from Tilburg to The Hague. Everywhere the KPN network is located. From transmission towers to switching cabinets. From large nodes to local connections. No two days are the same.
And don't worry: you will receive the right preparation. Your training program starts from day one. You will follow training sessions, gain practical experience in a controlled live environment, and shadow an experienced technician for a year. This way, you will learn everything about fiber optics, transmission systems, and network architecture. A large part of your training takes place at our location in Utrecht.
In summary, as a Telecom Technician, you will be busy with:
Resolving faults in telecom networks (including switches, routers, and 48V systems)
Performing network activities at various locations
Analyzing and independently handling tickets
Collaborating with colleagues on complex or combined tasks
Working according to SLAs and monitoring quality and speed
You will join the Fieldforce team, a service-oriented department of approximately 30 colleagues who work daily on resolving network faults in the field.
You work in a large area (primarily the Breda, Zeeland, Rotterdam, and surrounding regions) and are frequently on the road. From support points across the country, you can pick up materials and meet colleagues, but you primarily start and end your workday from home.
Within the team, independence is central, but there is always room to brainstorm and collaborate when necessary.
For the position of Telecom Technician, we are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation and an independent working attitude.
