Safety Specialist in the Netherlands

For our Integrated Projects business unit, we are looking for an enthusiastic Safety Specialist (MVK) who enjoys being close to the execution, makes contact easily, and knows how to involve colleagues in working safely. You will work on the largest and most complex infrastructural projects of Van Hattum en Blankevoort. With your knowledge, commitment, and practical attitude, you make a difference every day on our projects.

At Integrated Projects, we work on challenging infrastructural projects throughout the Netherlands. Think of tunnels, bridges, rail infrastructure, and large-scale renovations. Projects in which different disciplines and construction partners work together and safety deserves attention every day. As a Safety Specialist, you are an important point of contact for safety within the project organization. You can regularly be found on the construction site, conduct safety rounds, and actively engage in conversation with supervisors, work preparers, and skilled tradespeople. You identify risks, discuss unsafe situations, and especially look at how we can work together to make the work a little safer every day.

• Conducting safety rounds and workplace inspections at our project locations.

• Identifying risks and advising on practical control measures.

• Addressing and coaching colleagues on safe behavior and providing positive feedback.

• Supporting project teams in drafting and implementing safety plans and risk analyses.

• Investigating incidents and near-misses and translating the outcomes into improvement measures.

• Contributing to a positive safety culture in which colleagues address each other and learn from one another.

• Liaising with supervisors, project leaders, safety specialists, and clients regarding various safety issues.

• A gross monthly salary (based on 40 hours) of € 4,800 to € 6,600, depending on your background and experience;

• A position for 32 to 40 hours per week;

• A sustainable employability budget that we pay out monthly. This is 2.3% of your monthly salary;

• 43 leave days: 30 vacation days + an individual budget of 13 extra days (payout or take time off, your choice);
