Do you want to be at the financial helm of KWS's large and complex infrastructure projects? As a project controller in Vianen, you will receive a lot of freedom and responsibility. From beginning to end, you will be financially involved in multidisciplinary projects starting from € 25 million, such as Zuidasdok, large-scale infrastructure projects at and around Schiphol, and major maintenance contracts. You will advise the project MT, the finance committee, steering group, or management on important financial choices and dare to advise a different course if the figures provide reason to do so. All in all, an independent position for someone who looks beyond the reporting and truly wants to have an influence on the result of a project.

Your job
As a project controller, you are the financial conscience of a large infrastructure project. From the start, you will contribute ideas regarding the best setup of the project and the financial and administrative processes. How do we organize the collaboration? Do we work with main and subcontractors or in a combination? Which rates do we apply and how do we ensure that financial agreements are properly translated into the project administration? You bring oversight and ensure that the financial foundation is in place from day one.

During the project, you are close to the operations. You analyze and interpret the figures, monitor the financial administration, and advise the project MT on developments, opportunities, and risks. You look beyond what is in the report today and make it insightful what developments could mean for the final project result. Do you see a deviation or risk? Then you make this discussable and report where necessary to the financial committee, steering group, or management. Especially on projects where interests are high and not everything fits into one standard report, your independence is important.

You are also responsible for a careful financial closing. You contribute ideas regarding claim and guarantee provisions, monitor the financial handover, and ensure qualitatively strong final reports. In doing so, you are a strong sparring partner for the project MT, the project steering group, the group controller, branch business controller, and CFO. You also guide and coach financial colleagues involved in the project.

At KWS, you will explicitly get your own shop: a lot of responsibility, room to propose improvements, and the possibility to actually exert influence. At the same time, you are not alone. From Vianen, you will work together with two fellow project controllers and nationally with a team of approximately twelve colleagues. Every six weeks, this team meets to exchange knowledge and take on improvement initiatives. This allows you to continue developing your professional expertise. And the best part?
