Internship Civil Engineering Work Preparation and Execution

As an MBO or HBO student in Civil Engineering or a similar field, are you looking for an internship where you don't just learn from books, but truly put the profession into practice? At Van Hattum en Blankevoort, you will work on the new underpass at Boerhaavelaan in Schiedam. A challenging civil project where you gain experience in both work preparation and execution, and see firsthand how your work becomes reality!

As specialists in underground construction, we are involved in the realization of the new underpass at Boerhaavelaan in Schiedam. The underpass is being constructed under the train and metro tracks and will soon form an important connection for cyclists and pedestrians. During your internship, you will be part of the project team within both work preparation and execution. For example, you will support the preparation of activities, the checking of drawings and planning, and regularly accompany the site manager on the construction site. This way, you get to see firsthand how a complex civil project is prepared and built.

Additionally, you will be given the space to work on your own internship assignment and further investigate a technical or organizational issue within the project. You will learn the profession primarily by doing it yourself and will receive good guidance from experienced colleagues. The best thing about this internship? You literally see your work reflected on the construction site and contribute to an underpass that will soon be used daily by residents, cyclists, and pedestrians of Schiedam.

• An internship allowance of € 550 to € 650 per month
