The role

As a student of Civil Engineering or similar looking for an internship in execution? At Van Hattum en Blankevoort, we are looking for an intern for the Gemaal Oostoever project for February 2027.

What you'll do

During your internship, do you want to not only observe, but truly work on a large and challenging civil project? At the Gemaal Oostoever project, you will get the chance to gain experience right in the middle of practice and discover everything involved in the realization of a hydraulic engineering project.

During your internship, you will participate fully in the project team and work from the execution side towards the realization of a new pumping station with a fish passage. You will participate on the construction site and in the activities surrounding the excavation pits and the installation of combi-piles. You will learn how the work is prepared, executed, and inspected.

We challenge you to take initiative and take responsibility. You will receive your own problems to investigate and the space to come up with ideas and solutions. Of course, you will not be alone: experienced colleagues will guide you and share their professional knowledge and the daily practice of the project with you.

Additionally, you will of course receive sufficient space for your own internship assignments and education.

In short: an internship in which you see a lot, learn a lot, and actually contribute to the project. A great opportunity to gain (practical) experience, build a professional network, and lay a solid foundation for your career in civil engineering.
