Senior Work Preparer in Amsterdam

Experience in the work preparation of civil engineering projects? At Van Hattum en Blankevoort North Holland and Utrecht region (Diemen), you will get to work on our regional projects focusing on water safety (locks and pumping stations), urban construction, and mobility. Think of projects such as the construction of the Haarlem Nieuw-Zuid public transport hub, the creation of a Peak Storage Area in Haarlemmermeer, and the tackling of monumental bridges and quays in Amsterdam (Burgwallen and Grimburgwal Rakken bridges). The common factor: complexity in technology and environment. Will you help build the next challenge in the field of water safety and mobility?

As a work preparer, you are responsible for the preparation and supervision of civil engineering works, in both the tender and execution phases. Together with your colleagues, you realize regional projects in North Holland with a focus on infrastructural projects and water systems, including dike reinforcement projects, pumping stations, weirs, water storage, and (movable) bridges.

You monitor and develop (partial) schedules using various BIM capabilities. With this, you ensure the timely availability of materials, equipment, goods, and services. This allows you to manage deviations from the schedule and advise the project manager. Furthermore, monitoring costs is also part of your task package; you identify and register extra and reduced work.

Additionally, you support the project manager with project documentation, delivery, maintenance, and the final reporting of the project. You work closely in a team consisting of project management and execution. And depending on the size of the project, you divide the work with fellow work preparers.

• You have an affinity with BIM, 4D, and BI tooling

• At least 4 years of relevant work experience in work preparation

• A completed education at MBO level or higher, Civil Engineering or similar
