Road Construction Project Manager Dordrecht (West Netherlands)

As a Road Construction Project Manager, you will work on infrastructural projects that contribute directly to a safe and accessible Netherlands. From Dordrecht, you will manage diverse road construction projects in the West Netherlands, being involved from start to finish. You combine technical knowledge with organizational talent and leadership, receiving a great deal of responsibility and freedom in the process. This position is ideal for a project manager who enjoys maintaining an overview, connecting teams, and derives energy from realizing projects with social impact.

Your base is Dordrecht, where the Road Construction West department is responsible for engaging projects throughout the West Netherlands. From this location, you will work on both large and small infrastructural tasks with high visibility and social impact. Think of projects such as the redevelopment of the Klapwijk neighborhood, a completed project at the Maasboulevard, the realization of a mini F1 circuit, collaboration on provincial roads together with our maintenance department, and various reconstructions in the region. You are involved in these projects starting from the calculation phase, meaning your substantive knowledge and insights contribute directly to winning and successfully realizing new work. Relationship management with clients and partners plays a key role in this.

You lead the project team, which includes, among others, work preparers, site managers, and execution staff. You ensure a clear division of tasks, monitor cooperation, and maintain an overview of multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, you actively maintain contact with clients and other stakeholders and know how to translate their interests into a supported project approach.

In addition to substantive and organizational management, you are responsible for contract management and the financial settlement of your projects. You signal deviations in a timely manner and adjust where necessary. Safety and quality are central to everything you do, and you communicate clearly and transparently, both within the team and towards clients and management.

The Road Construction West department is based in Dordrecht and is responsible for projects within the West Netherlands. You will work in a close-knit and professional team where collaboration is central. Additionally, you will be given space to contribute ideas for improving processes and systems, with an eye for innovation and efficiency. You are a project manager with a passion for road construction and infrastructure. You possess natural leadership and know how to motivate and connect people. The objective of this role is the successful realization of road construction projects with a strong team and satisfied clients.
