Telecom Estimator

Are you analytically strong and do you know how to translate technical issues into sharp and realistic cost calculations? As a Telecom Estimator, you play a key role in the tendering and preparation of our rail projects. With your knowledge and insight, you ensure that projects are offered in a way that is technically feasible, financially responsible, and commercially attractive.

Approximately 80% of your time is spent analyzing and understanding tenders. You study contract documents, drawings, specifications, and requirements, map out risks and opportunities, and determine the most efficient approach together with colleagues. The remaining 20% of your time is focused on preparing a substantiated cost calculation, enabling a competitive and realistic offer to be submitted.

• Analyzing specifications, drawings, contract documents, and tender documents;

• Requesting, comparing, and evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors;

• Determining the execution methodology, phasing, and project approach, and translating these into the required deployment of personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors;

• Calculating activities in the field of connectivity and systems, including copper and fiber optic connections, cameras, clocks, public address and information systems, and other communication means;

• Identifying risks, opportunities, and optimizations within projects and offers;

• Coordinating with design, work preparation, execution, and other involved disciplines;

• Providing post-calculations and contributing to knowledge management within the organization.

• A one-year contract, with a view to a permanent contract;

• A salary of € 3,380 to € 5,500 gross per month, depending on your education level, knowledge, and experience;

• As many as 43 days off: 25 vacation days and 18 roster-free days;

• MBO+/HBO working and thinking level, education/work experience within telecom is a requirement;

• Strong analytical insight and a structured way of working;

• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset;

• Ability to recognize risks and opportunities within projects.
