The role
Working at Vincent van Gogh means being there at the moments when it truly matters. For clients who are stuck, for loved ones who are worried, and for colleagues who try to make a difference together in complex situations. You stand close to people, work intensively together, and see from up close what good care can mean. That requires attention, craftsmanship, and commitment. It is precisely that which makes working here valuable every day.
What you'll do
As a nurse specialist, you are a solid pillar within the CIBU, both in terms of content and professionalism. You are the lead practitioner, perform diagnostics, and draw up treatment plans that suit the situation and the pace of the client. You monitor progress and bring structure, especially when the situation is complex or unpredictable. In doing so, you work according to clear work processes and make use of E‑health modules or new forms of treatment where appropriate.
In addition to your treatment role, you are a connector within the team. You maintain an overview, coordinate with different disciplines, and know how to involve colleagues in development and innovation. You do not shy away from complex cases, but approach them with confidence and curiosity. You bring different perspectives together and dare to propose ideas that make care better, smarter, or more human.
In this way, you contribute not only to the recovery of clients, but also to the growth of the team and the quality of care as a whole.
Requirements
You have courage, take decisions, and are able to work in a connecting (collaborative) manner.
As a lead practitioner, you feel comfortable in a coordinating role within the team.
Like no other, you know how to make the client's capacity for self-management and quality of life the central focus.

About VIGO
In their own words
About the company & team
The Crisis Intervention Treatment Unit (CIBU) is a closed ward where we support people during a period when everything is at a breaking point. Clients come to us because there is an acute psychiatric problem and it is temporarily unsafe at home, for themselves or for their environment. That makes the work intensive, but also valuable.
On the CIBU, we focus on restoring calm and stability. We perform diagnostics, implement treatment, and work step by step towards recovery, based on the principle that clients should be able to take control of their lives again as quickly as possible. We consciously keep their stay as short as is responsible. We can only achieve this by working closely together, with outpatient practitioners as well as with family or loved ones. Because no one recovers alone.
Together, we help clients find a foothold, rediscover their identity, and see perspective again. That requires proximity, professionalism, and sometimes also patience, but that is precisely where the strength of our team lies.
